I am a Johnny-come-lately... just discovered this six-part series of videos which were uploaded back in January. Intended to step into the sadly, mostly untapped potential of NASA's publicity machine, utilising Carl Sagan's audio books and footage from various documentaries, news media and NASA's own material, the editing really is superb. Maybe if NASA's real life PR was given this much care and attention and was so inspirational, the public wouldn't be so apathetic toward space travel and discovery. If anyone's considering learning Z-Brush and looking for somewhere to start, you can't get much better than these two training videos from 3DBuzz. Unlike a lot of video tutorials that might just have one person talking slightly nervously to themselves, these take the form of two guys having a conversation as one explains the interface to the other. The first video covers the basic interface and 2.5-D drawing, while the second video gets down to the 3-D sculpting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzssIJW52a8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rd-QDX4IZmc

Just a day now before I head off to San Diego and ComicCon, baby! My nametag thingy will have "Moofunk" written on it (from the name of my website), so if anyone else is there and happens to see a Moofunk, say hi! :) Also, I haven't written a journal for a long while, so thanks to everyone who's added my work to their faves, chosen to watch me, or taken the time to comment. It's always very much appreciated. Take care and keep watching the skis, John.
